Clermont Twin & Yeezy Model Shannade Clermont Arrested, Used Dead Man’s Debit Card & Charged Thousands of Dollars
Shannade Clermont, 24, of Clermont Twins/Bad Girls Club Season 14 fame had been arrested for debit card fraud, along with several other charges.
Reportedly, the Yeezy season six campaign model was caught using a deceased Manhattan man’s debit cards to make over $20,000 in fraudulent purchases – including several thousands of dollars in designer clothing, flights, and rent and phone bill payments. Authorities say that she visited the man for a “prostitution date” just one night before he was found dead of a drug overdose.
Just this past April, authorities investigating the man’s death allegedly found that the Clermont twin used the deceased man’s name to create a fake email account to transfer $1000 to herself. U.S. attorney Geoffrey S. Berman has issued a statement on the case:
As alleged, Shannade Clermont, a former cast member of the ‘Bad Girls Club,’ lived up to her reality series reputation. She allegedly stole debit card information from a man found dead – the victim of a drug overdose – in his Manhattan apartment and used his identity to make tens of thousands of dollars in fraudulent purchases.
He continued:
Thanks to the skilled investigative work of the NYPD, Clermont’s new reality is federal prosecution for her alleged nefarious conduct.
Neither Shannade nor her twin sister Shannon have commented on the charges. Shannade could face sentences of up to 20 years in prison for conspiracy to commit wire fraud, two years for aggravated identity theft, and 15 years for access device fraud.
