EXCLUSIVE: Producer Dallas Austin Accused of Owing 100k+ in Back Taxes
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, Dallas Austin, who produced countless hit songs, is accused of owing over $100,000 in back taxes to the State of Georgia.
On June 26th, the State of Georgia Department of Revenue filed a lien against the producer for unpaid taxes for the years 2015 and 2016.
The Department says Austin owes $45,798.33 for 2015 and $56,491.68 for 2016 for a total of $102,290.01. The original amount owed was only $69k for the two years, but Austin had penalties and interest tacked on.
The lien states if the producer doesn’t pay up ASAP, they could come after his property and assets to collect on the debt.
Austin has had a series of financial issues with the IRS accusing him back in 2016 of owing $661,428.81 in back taxes for multiple years.
The producer – who shares a child with TLC’s Chili – has worked Rihanna, Kanye West, Madonna, Ciara, P!nk, Michael Jackson and countless others.
