Sacha Baron Cohen Trolls O.J. Simpson, Tries To Get Him To Confess To Murder
Sacha Baron Cohen‘s spoof interview show, Who Is America?, often catches people in compromising positions. The finale episode with O.J. Simpson was bound to be no different.
In the episode, Cohen portrayed a rich Italian man named Gio who was having troubles with his girlfriend. After introducing his girlfriend to Simpson, he waits until she leaves the room before telling the former football player,
“She’s gorgeous but sometimes I want to kill her, you know. I want to send her on a private helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon — oopsy daisy!”
Cohen continues to go on,
“Maybe I send her on a bungee jump — Oops, the cord!”
Simpson joins in on the jokes. “The cord’s extra long,” he said laughing.
Cohen then says that if he did kill his girlfriend, he’d need Simpson to introduce him to Johnny Cochran. “I’d have to introduce you in the afterlife,” said Simpson, in which Cohen replied,
“What, you didn’t kill him too, did you?”
Cohen continues to troll Simpson. “He’s obsessed about what happened the night with the wife and he wants you to tell him,” Baron Cohen’s Gio explained. When Simpson asked him “What wife,” Gio said, “The one you shot.”
“Well, first of all, she wasn’t my wife,” Simpson said.
“We had been divorced and separated for two years. Except that I didn’t do it.”
It was hilarious, yet awkward to most. The interview was typical Sacha Baron Cohen. Check out a clip below.
