63-Year-Old Jermaine Jackson Plans to Marry 23-Year-Old Girlfriend
Jermaine Jackson Plans to Marry Girlfriend 40 Years His Junior
Jermaine Jackson is expecting to remarry soon. After he divorced his ex-wife, Halima Rashid, in 2016, he started dating 23-year-old Maday Velazquez shortly after. Following a performance in Mallorca, Spain celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jackson Five with his brothers Jackie, Tito, and Marlon, Jermaine Jackson, 63, reportedly revealed his intentions to marry Velazquez to Dutch publication De Telegraaf.
“We are going to get married soon,” Jermaine shared.
Before Rashid filed for divorce from their 12-year marriage in June 2016, the two were already separated. In the midst of their separation, Jermaine called the police on his estranged wife for domestic violence. In a heated argument, Jermaine claims he was bitten on the leg by Rashid after she was allegedly spat at by Jermaine. The case was later closed.
Paris Jackson, Jermaine’s niece and Micheal Jackson’s daughter, is three years younger than his potential wife and her soon-to-be aunt-in-law. Velazquez is 40 years Jermaine’s junior.
