Anthony Anderson – Alleged Sexual Assault Victim Refuses To Cooperate w/ Investigators, D.A. Will NOT File Charges
Anthony Anderson’s sexual assault case will not be moving forward. According to reports, the Los Angeles County District Attorney declined to file sexual assault charges against the Black-ish actor. The prosecutor wrote,
“The reporting party has declined to be interviewed by the investigating officer. The interview is a necessary piece of the investigation. Prosecution is declined due to lack of sufficient evidence to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the allegations.”
Reportedly, the alleged the victim refused to cooperate with investigators. As previously reported, the LAPD investigated an allegation that sexually assaulted a woman at an event. [Click here for the backstory.]
Anderson has maintained his innocence. In July, his representative issued the following statement:
It is unfortunate that anyone can file a police report whether it is true or false. The authorities have not contacted Anthony or any of his representatives about this matter. Anthony unequivocally disputes the claim.
