Kerry Washington Remains Only Black Woman To Make Forbes List Of Highest Paid TV Actresses Since 2013

Forbes recently released their 2018 list of highest paid television actresses. “Modern Family” actress Sofia Vergara tops the list, reportedly for the seventh year in a row, raking in around $42.5 million. As her fellow ABC actress, Ellen Pompeo scores around $23.5 million for “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Kerry Washington also made the list as she was seemingly the only notable black actress to make the list once again. Washington comes in at #8 with #11 million for her TV series “Scandal,” which ended in 2017.

The former “Scandal” actress topped Claire Danes from Showtime’s “Homeland” and Pauley Perrette from “NCIS.”
