Kevin Hart Teams Up With ‘Black-ish’ Producer For New ABC Comedy
“Don’t Call It a Comeback”, a new family comedy in development for ABC, is set to be executive produced by “Black-Ish” producer Courtney Lilly and comedian/actor Kevin Hart.
The series focuses on a 40-something-year-old dad who was part of a one-hit wonder hip-hop group in his heyday. He attempts to use his hip hop expertise to get his “swagger” back in parenting.
Kevin Hart said about the show,
Courtney’s idea is funny, relatable and most importantly has so much heart—all the elements that belong in a HartBeat production. I’m so excited to work with him and everybody at ABC.
In addition to “Black-ish”, Lilly’s past credits include “Undateable” and “The Cleveland Show.”
