New York Undercover Reboot Coming To ABC
The hit 90’s cop drama, New York Undercover, could be returning with a reboot slated for ABC.
New York Undercover was created by Dick Wolf, the mastermind behind Law & Order and Chicago. Wolf is now looking to produce the series with Universal Television and ABC Studios. Ben Watkins and Wolf will write the script.
New York Undercover ran from 1994-98 on FOX and starred Malik Yoba, Michael DeLorenzo, Lauren Velez, and Josh Hopkins. However, as many fans know, not all of the cast made it out of the season alive. WME’s head of television says that the new series may not include the original actors.
It’s the type of franchise that you can redo, and you don’t necessarily have to use the same cast.
