Angela Simmons Calls Death Of Son’s Father “The Most Difficult Hurdle I Had To Face”
Angela Simmons is reflecting on one of the most challenging moments of 2018 for her. In a lengthy social media post, she reveals that the death of her son’s father – Sutton Tennyson – was the toughest that she faced. Sharing a photo of Sutton holding their infant son, the Growing Up Hip Hop reality star writes,
As this year comes to a close … I reflect on the most difficult hurdle I’ve ever had to face. And it’s losing my son’s father . To know that you are with us in spirit is sometimes just not enough . But as the new year comes in I know that I will do my best carrying Sj with your strength and mine. And now being mommy and daddy to our beautiful son . Thank you for my best gift ever. Sj will forever carry your name. Rest now . I got us ???? 2019 we are ready .
As previously reported, Sutton was murdered at his home in November. According to reports, the 37-year-old, who shares a 2-year-old son with Angela, was shot multiple times around 4:30 p.m. What caused the shooting is unclear, but it was originally believed a robbery or home invasion may have been the motive. However, as police continue to iron out details, they say Sutton was talking to another man in his driveway when things escalated and he was shot. The suspect then fled in another vehicle and police were called by neighbors. A suspect was later arrested.
He was laid to rest in early November.
