Soulja Boy Survives California Mudlside Accident: “I’m just thankful to be alive”
Rapper/reality TV star Soulja Boy is appreciating life on social media after a dangerous car accident in California. Powerful rain storms recently shut down the Pacific Coast Highway with flooding, which caused his vehicle to get stuck and nearly swept into the ocean. Soulja Boy retweeted several Twitter links and photos detailing the damages of the Malibu mudslides before alerting his fans that he, too, was involved.

The “Crank That” rapper took time to reflect on his values with the following Instagram caption:
“@souljaboy I’m just thankful to be alive, I don’t care about the car it’s materialistic you can’t take it with you when you’re gone”

Soulja Boy (real name DeAndre Cortez Way) later updated fans on his condition after the accident. He posted this message to his Instagram Story:
“Just thankful to be alive. My face all swollen and sh*t”

We’re wishing a speedy recovery to Soulja Boy and safe travels to all the residents of California.
