Kandi Burruss & Tamar Braxton Explain Why They Aren’t Friends [VIDEO]

Kandi Burruss and Tamar Braxton Address Their Tension on “Celebrity Big Brother”
Tensions are high on the hit CBS reality show, “Big Brother,” but this season’s “Big Brother: Celebrity Edition” stars brought the tension with them. Kandi Burruss and Tamar Braxton had an awkward meeting on last night’s first episode of “Big Brother: Celebrity Edition.”

The ladies have known each other for years, with their common threads being the music industry and friend, Tameka “Tiny” Harris. They also both have an understanding that their relationship with each other is a rocky one, thanks in part to last year’s “The Great XScape Tour.” Kandi and Tamar sat down in the “Big Brother” confessional and gave their sides of the story. Tamar Braxton says Kandi has a general dislike for her:
“I know Kandi. She’s in the music industry, right? We went on tour this time last year together, and had a really big, successful tour. And with Xscape, and myself, and another singer – and, like, she ain’t never really liked me like that, you know what I’m sayin’? Like, I know her, but I ain’t never been to her house, you what I’m sayin’? She ain’t never been to my house. Our kids ain’t never played together, you know? I was never invited to her stuff. You know, she just never really, you know, liked me like that. And so, that’s cool. You not supposed to get along with everybody. Hey, I ain’t never did nothing to her. And I was just trying to figure out, you know, like, is she gonna be gunning for me?”
However, Kandi has a different account of the story. She says their latest tensions are because Tamar attempted to bring podcast hosts, TS Madison and Khia, to “The Great XScape Tour,” knowing that they’d said rude things about some of the acts on the tour:
“We were on tour. It was “The Great XScape Tour,” with my group XScape. We had a sold out tour, and going into our New Years Eve show it was in Atlanta. This is 2017 going into 2018, ok? So it was a year ago. On our New Years Eve show, everybody, of course, was, like, letting special guests come in that particular night. It was in Atlanta, so that was our home city for our group. And – sold out show at the arena in Atlanta – and she invited someone to be in her performance that said a lot of negative things about myself and some other members of our group, and also people that we are close to.”

Kandi continued, also noting Tamar’s upset over her extended friends’ appearances on “The Real:”
“She also got upset once before then when she was no longer a part of the talk show she was a part of. A few of us that are friends with her – we were all invited at different times to be guests on the show. And when we became guests on the show – co-hosting or whatever – she got upset with us, and unfollowed all of us on social media. So that’s what I mean, like, throughout our life, it’s been multiple times where it’s like we’ll be cool, and she’ll get mad. The she’ll unfollow us, then she’ll decide she back cool, then she’ll get mad and unfollow us.”
