Wendy Williams Served Husband Divorce Papers At TV Studio, Wendy Show Releases Statement, Kevin Hunter Reacts – I’m Not Speaking Now
Wendy Williams‘ team has released a statement confirming reports that she filed for divorce from Kevin Hunter, her husband of more than 20 years.
The statement said:
“Thank you to everyone for respecting the family’s privacy during this time. Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together. No additional comment will be provided at this time.”
The Wendy Show also released a statement.
“Wendy and her family have been a part of Debmar-Mercury for over 10 years. We respect their privacy regarding personal matters. As always, we remain committed to bringing an entertaining and topical show to our viewers.”
Hunter refused to make a statement but when asked he said,
“This just happened. Not speaking now.”
There was speculation that Williams would divorce Hunter after his alleged mistress, Sharina Hudson, had his child last month. Williams had been standing by Hunter until this point.
Hunter even bought Williams a $40,000 watch last week and said they were doing just fine. Interestingly enough, according to reports, she served him at work, which is the studio where Williams tapes her talk show. The two were said to be cordial with each other at work on the days leading up the divorce.
While she didn’t speak on filing on Thursday’s episode of the show, she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring. Instead, she wore a different ring on that finger.
