Lena Waithe seems to be staying positive after one of the star actors of her series The Chi on Showtime was reportedly dropped following accusations he sexually assaulted women on set. Waithe double tapped a message that reads,
“I’m sure #thechi will move forward! I’m not worried about that and I know @LenaWaithe has things under control.”
She also retweeted a message that said,
“I’m sure #thechi will move forward! I’m not worried about that and I know @LenaWaithe has things under control.”

As previously reported, Jason Mitchell, who played Brandon on the hit Showtime series, was let go from the show amid accusations of inappropriate behavior. He was also fired from an upcoming Netflix comedy Desperados and was dropped from his management company.

Most recently, it was also reported that Mitchell’s co-star sexually harassed his co-star, Tiffany Boone, who played his onscreen girlfriend, Jerrika.

Boone has remained silent about the accusations, but word is she requested to be released from the show, and didn’t feel comfortable filming scenes with him without her fiance, Dear White People actor Marque Richardson, present.
