Evelyn Lozada New Fiction Novel May Be Loosely Based On Relationship W/ Ex Carl Crawford

“Basketball Wives” OG Evelyn Lozada continues to build her literary resume. This weekend, she shared a spicy excerpt of her fiction novel, “The Perfect Date,” on Instagram. Her caption read:

“@evelynlozada My book is officially available! ‘His mouth had lit a fire in her. The kiss at the field had been an accident with a stranger. This, however . . . It was intense.’ You think you know……but you have no idea!! Buy your advance copy today. Order via the link in my bio”

Evelyn may have a way with words, but it’s the book’s cover illustration that has people talking! The cover pictures a tanned couple watching fireworks at a baseball stadium. She has plenty of experience in this department, considering she was once engaged to retired baseball player, Carl Crawford. Is this book about their romance?

“The Perfect Date’s” Amazon description also hints that Evelyn’s book could be an example of art imitating life. It reads:

“When a single mom ends up playing an unwilling fake girlfriend to a charming playboy baseball player, love suddenly turns everything upside down in this fun, heartwarming multicultural romance…Angel Gomez has never lived by the book. A Bronx-based unwed mother by the time she was sixteen, Angel’s personal mission has always been to show the world that a Puerto Rican girl is not to be messed with especially by a man.”

Sound familiar? Evelyn Lozada may not be sharing her current romantic situation, but she’s keeping busy with work. Aside from her upcoming book, she’s also one of the faces of Khloe Kardashian‘s denim/fitness-wear line, Good American.

“Basketball Wives” also returns to VH1 on June 19th! Evelyn can be heard in the trailer of the show saying:

“Some sh*t always hits the fan!”

Evelyn Lozada’s book, “The Perfect Date,” will be released on June 11th.
