Pittsburgh Steelers’ JuJu Smith-Schuster Showed Up As Male Teen’s Date To Prom After Being Stood Up [Photos]
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster took the place of a young teen’s date when he was stood up for Chartiers Valley High School’s senior prom in Pennsylvania. Student Anthony Molinaro, invited the wide receiver on Twitter when his original date broke up with him, Schuster says on Twitter on Monday,
“Prom with my bro! Got a DM from him a while back about needing someone to go with, decided why not, had a litty night at his school. YouTube vid coming soon!”
Schuster’s was welcomed with support in his comments on social media including NFL insider Adam Schefter and Seattle Seahawks, Rahmel Dockery. ESPN anchor Maria Taylor posted her support of the wide receiver saying,
“This is awesome!”
In a video from their epic night, Schuster and Molinaro are introduced together on stage while throwing several bills in the air while posing for photos in matching green suits.
During their prom night the students showed their appreciation for the Steelers wide receiver with a profane chant directed at Schuster’s former teammate Antonio Brown, who used social media to take aim at Smith-Schuster on his way out of town. The crown of teens chant,
As the Steelers No. 1 receiver after leading the team in catches (111) and yards (1,426) last season. In 2018, the receiver was named a NFL Pro Bowler after just two seasons. He was drafted out of USC in the second round of the NFL draft by the Steelers.
