Kenya Barris & Kid Cudi Team Up For Animated Series Based On Cudi’s Newest Album
Kid Cudi and Kenya Barris are joining forces. The new dynamic duo has teamed up for a forthcoming Netflix series. It’s set to be animated for Kid Cudi’s latest project Entergalactic. It will feature songs from the album and tell the story of a young man’s path to finding love.
Cudi will serve as writer and executive producer. He’ll also star in the film. Barris is the executive producer as well via his Khalabo Ink Society company which is based under a Netflix deal.
Ian Edelman will also join them as a writer and executive producer. He and Cudi previously teamed up for “How to Make It In America.”
This will Barris’s third project for Netflix. He joined the popular streaming service after parting ways with ABC Studios.
He’ll also serve as executive producer for sketch comedy series the “Astronomy Club.”
He’ll star in, write and of course, executive produce a comedy series “Black Excellence.” Rashida Jones will also star in that series.
