Cardi B doesn’t play about her politics. A well-documented lover of all things presidential, the Grammy-winning rapper is buckling down on raising voter awareness ahead of the 2020 presidential election. She took to Instagram dressed in a stylish, patriotic ensemble to break down why becoming politically informed is important, in a way only she can! She said:

“What up, y’all? I only got one minute to say this, so I’mma say this really fast. There are bloggers, there are Youtubers, there are influencers – we have the power to influence our youth to get educated when it comes to our Democratic candidates. You see the Republicans, they are afraid to stand up to Trump because he might take their positions away from them. But the Democrats? They just don’t give a f*ck!”

Cardi continued, giving specific instructions on how to change Donald Trump‘s dangerous social media narratives:

“And my thing is, we get distracted with people putting Trump on blast. Like, CNN constantly putting Trump on blast about evil sh*t he has been committing in this country – because he puts things on Twitter that distract us from all the bullsh*t that he actually be doing. So instead of us posting the little bullsh*t that he be posting on Twitter, why don’t we post every single day these positive things that these Democratic candidates want to do for our country? Like, this man has a big chance of winning in 2020, and we can change that.”

As we previously reported, Cardi has already cozied up to one of the Democratic candidates running for presidency – Bernie Sanders. To her delight, Bernie commented on their budding friendship during his recent Jimmy Kimmel appearance:

“I know her. We have talked on the phone on several occasions. She’s really smart. And she is really concerned about the topics…that’s the truth. She comes from a humble background. She knows what it’s like to live in poverty, to struggle, and she wants to make sure we can improve life…”
