Beyonce Lands Deal With Sony/ATV Music Publishing
Beyonce is making moves already this decade.
According to Variety, the songstress and entrepreneur has inked a deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. It’s the largest music publishing company in the world, and houses hits from artists like Frank Sinatra, Taylor Swift and The Beatles.
The move comes shortly after Rihanna made her way to Sony a few months ago amid Jon Platt becoming Sony Music’s chairman and CEO last year.

Jay-Z has never been one to shy away from saluting Jon Platt either. He’s called him his “brother” and dubbed him
“the Obama of the music industry.”
Jay-Z added as Jon Platt was honored at the yearly City of Hope Spirit of Life dinner in October 2018,
“This man has worked his way up from a Denver DJ to be the highest-ranking black executive.”
Beyonce also hit the stage that night and told Jon Platt,
“I’m so honored to celebrate you tonight. Most people in this industry lead with their ego, but you lead with your heart. You’ve touched so many lives, mine included.”
Platt also said of Beyonce at the event:
“I was reminded even when you’re the biggest talent in world, it still comes down to hard work. She leads by example. She shows all of us how to dream big.”
