LeBron James Reacts To Spectator Throwing Object At Son Bronny During High School Game

On Monday (Jan. 20th), LeBron James stood up for his son, Bronny James, following an ugly moment that took place at his high school game in Springfield, Ma. During an out of bounds play, a fan appears to have thrown a piece of candy at Bronny. In his post, LeBron took to Twitter, calling out the person who threw something at his oldest son. He begins,

“Hating has no age limit! James Gang is build [sic] for it and well equipped. As we proceed.”

The ref immediately stopped the game and the fan was reportedly ejected from the game. LeBron spoke with reporters about the incident stating:

“I didn’t see it or hear it, actually. While I was on the opposite side of the floor, I did see the referee stop the game or stop the inbound, and the cop came up there. I didn’t even know what happened until the video evidence showed me when I got here.”

LeBron continues,

“It’s just disrespectful, and it was a little kid too. I don’t know how old that little kid was, so I don’t know if he learned that on his own or if he learned it at home. Whatever the case may be, it’s disrespectful. I wonder how old that kid is, if he is the age around Bronny’s age [15] or [James’ son] Bryce’s age [12]. I’d like to see them try that while they’re paying attention.”

In addition, LeBron also took to his Instagram to send a message to the world that he is willing to sacrifice it all for Bronny and his two siblings.

“Know I got your back and front throughout it all! I’d die for you and your siblings. Never waver no matter what disrespect, hate, envy, jealousy, etc comes your way! Only push forward and continue to be the great kid/young man/person you are! Love you kid!!”

After Bronny’s game, his teammate Zaire Williams told Yahoo Sports that Bronny goes through a lot from fans:

“You’d be surprised by all the stuff Bronny has to go through. It’s not fair, but he doesn’t let it faze him at all. I’m learning how to be more like that from him and he’s younger than me.”
