Keyshia Cole Reveals That Her Mother, Frankie, Is 30 Days Sober: “I’m Proud Of You!”
Since she first burst into the industry in 2005, songstress/reality star Keyshia Cole has been transparent with fans about her struggles growing up in Oakland, California. While raised by an adopted mother, her biological mother Francine “Frankie” Lyons battled drugs and alcohol addiction. She was in and out of prison, leaving Keyshia’s siblings scattered across the state of California. This was captured on the BET reality shows, “The Way It Is;” “All In;” and “Frankie & Neffe.”
Keyshia revealed to fans that her mother took the step to check herself into a rehab facility last month.

The 38-year-old mother of two is continuing to cheer her mother on while taking her journey to sobriety one step at a time. Keyshia posted this update on Frankie’s progress:
“@keyshiacole Do you believe in the power of love? What about lack thereof? 50/50 There’s strength in knowing there’s something or someone you can always lean back on. Someone to catch u when u fall. I’ve been being strong for you, hoping I’ll get a chance to feel that feeling from you. The thought of me feeling on top of the world. 30 days THIS THURSDAY….. this isn’t to discredit ANYONE this post is simply to say, that I’m proud of you shawty AKA #FrankDaBank #LetEMKno #MommiesMatter”

Congratulations, Frankie!
