Legendary singer Chaka Khan is asking fans to pray for her beloved friend and fellow singer Betty Wright. In the post (May 2), she writes,

While it is unknown what Betty Wright is known for her hits such as “Clean Up Woman” and “Tonight is the Night” and rose to fame in the 1970s.
1971’s “Clean Up Woman,” landed at No. 2 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop chart. Later on in her career, she served as a vocal coach for Beyoncé, who sampled her 1968 song “Girls Can’t Do What the Guys Do” song on “Upgrade U” featuring Jay-Z in 2006. She also recently had an episode on TV One’s docuseries UNSUNG.
