Carl Crawford Speaks Out For The First Time After A Woman & Child Drown At His Home
On May 16, we reported that a woman and a child drowned at former MLB player Carl Crawford’s home in Houston. Now Carl Crawford is publicly speaking about the tragic incident. On Saturday (May 23), Carl Crawford wrote a message about the incident and posted it to his Instagram page stating,
“My hearts heavy. The tragic events that occurred at my home will be with me forever. I’m at a loss for words. I’ve struggled all week to manage my emotions and I keep thinking of the families of those who’ve passed and their grief, I know they have it the hardest. They are the first and last thing I think of these days. Please keep them in your prayers, I know they will always be in mine.”

Both the woman and child at Carl’s home passed away after they were pulled out of his pool on May 16. Emergency crews performed CPR on both victims at the scene. The woman and child died at the hospital, according to Houston police.
According to a separate report, the home was owned by the former MLB player who is said to have been home at the time of the incident. Reportedly, he had a small gathering at his home. The drowning is said to have taken place while he was inside his home. The identify of the woman or child have not yet been released.
