‘Atlanta’ Seasons 3 And 4 Delayed (Again) Due To Pandemic

Not so good news FX’s hit series “Atlanta”. Due to the coronavirus, filming for the upcoming two seasons (3 and 4) has been delayed. The news was confirmed by FX Networks and FX Productions chairman John Landgraf. According to reports, previously the series was set to return in January 2021. Now, production will allegedly resume in early 2021. The series will then be premiere at some point later in 2021.

Both seasons will reportedly be shot in different locations – one season will be shot in Atlanta and the second in Europe.

Atlanta is a comedy-drama television series created by Donald Glover for FX that premiered on September 6, 2016 and has been renewed for a third and fourth season, scheduled to air in 2021. It stars Glover as Earnest “Earn” Marks, a college dropout who takes charge of his cousin Alfred’s (Brian Tyree Henry) rap career as “Paper Boi”, and follows the pair as they navigate the Atlanta rap scene. It also stars Lakeith Stanfield and Zazie Beetz.

The series follows Earn (Donald Glover) during his daily life in Atlanta, Georgia, as he tries to redeem himself in the eyes of his ex-girlfriend, who is the mother of his daughter, as well as his parents and his cousin Alfred (Brian Tyree Henry), who raps under the stage name “Paper Boi”.

Having dropped out of Princeton University, Earn has no money and no home and consequently alternates between staying with his parents and his girlfriend. Once he realizes that his cousin is on the verge of stardom, he desperately seeks to reconnect to improve his life and the life of his daughter, Lottie.
