Willow Smith Breaks Silence On Jada Pinkett Smith Discussing ‘Entanglement’ W/ August Alsina

It’s been a couple of months since the bombshell news of Jada Pinkett Smith’s relationship with singer August Alsina made headlines.

August Alsina first revealed the relationship during an interview in June, stating that Jada Pinkett Smith’s husband Will Smith gave him his blessing.

Jada Pinkett Smith then confirmed the relationship on Red Table Talk, and said that she and Will Smith were separated at the time she and August Alsina had what she called an “entanglement.”

Now, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s daughter, Willow Smith, has publicly spoken out for the first time about the actress opening up about the controversial romance.

Willow Smith said on Monday’s (Sept. 28th) episode of Red Table Talk:

“I want to put it on the table. I’m so proud of you. To be able to see you and Dad do that, for me, that was like, OK, that’s the real deal. That’s real love.”

She continued:

“Like, when you can be like, ‘I’m with you. I’m going to stand by you and I’m going to hold your hand because I love you, that’s what we do,’ that’s really important.”

Jada added that speaking on the ordeal in front of the world was

“Full blast of flaws and feeling, and just the total breakdown of any mask…”

Her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris added that the episode showed

“So much courage.”
