Iyanla Vanzant Lands Podcast Series ‘The R Spot’ With Shondaland Audio & iHeartMedia
Iyanla Vanzant Gets New Weekly Podcast Series ‘The R Spot’ With Shondaland Audio & iHeartMedia
Iyanala Vanzant just landed her next big gig. As previously reported, the 67-year-old spiritual life coach ended her critically acclaimed series, Iyanla Fix My Life, after 7 seasons on OWN. It looks like she’s headed to the podcast world in collaboration with Shonda Rhime’s Shondaland Audio in partnership with iHeartMedia. Reportedly it will be called The R Spot and will launch in early 2022.

This doesn’t come as surprise because Iyanla Vanzant had previously expressed how she still wanted to help people but didn’t want her appearance constantly scrutinized. In an interview with Danielle Young she spoke about how she’d prefer to connect with her audience. She said,
“I want to do it in a more intimate way. I want to do it where people come to me because they want to learn not because they don’t have a date on Saturday. And I want to do it where people aren’t scrutinizing my hair and my nails.”
According to reports, The R Spot will offer listeners an opportunity to engage in conversations that will examine, explore, dissect and investigate relationship issues, before and after a crisis, all under the guidance of Iyalanla Vanzant herself. It will be a much more intimate experience and it won’t only cover romantic relationship issues. It’ll deal with all types of relationship struggles that many can relate to.
Listeners will be able to submit their issues to Vanzant and they’ll have the chance to hear her talk about them on the podcast. She even teased the series and asked her supporters to submit their questions last week on Twitter.
Are you experiencing relationship issues? Do you need guidance on how to navigate those challenges? This is your chance to get advice from Iyanla as she examines, explores, dissects & investigates relationships of all kinds in an exciting, new project.
