Akon’s Wife, Tomeka Thiam, Denies Reports She’s Appearing On ‘RHOA’: A Fake Wife Is Joining, It’s Definitely Not ME!

Update #1 (Sept. 27): Akon’s wife Tomeka Thiam has denied reports that she’s appearing on  RHOA. Instead, she insisted “there’s a fake wife joining” while pointing out she’s “legally married” to the producer.

She wrote,

“I promise I am legally married to Kon. I’m a very private person and if there is a fake wife joining the show It’s definitely not his real wife. These wives whoever they are be ALL [cap Emoji]. It’s Definitely not ME! [red heart Emoji]”

Original Story: It looks like The Real Housewives of Atlanta is getting another familiar face to join its lineup next season!

Last week, reports swirled that Olympic track star Sanya Richards-Ross will be getting her peach for the upcoming 14th season.

Now, new reports allege the wife of producer and singer Akon will also appear in the new season. Production insiders said she has signed on to be on the popular Bravo reality show and will start taping with the cast in November. It’s still undecided how vast her role will be as she could be a part-time “friend of the show” or just appear as a guest.

While Akon has previously confessed to having multiple wives, Tomeka Thiam is the only one who is rumored to be on RHOA. 

She has not publicly addressed reports that she’s joining the show.

News of her possible appearances come after it was reported that Cynthia Bailey was not asked to return to RHOA. She first joined the show in its third season.

It was also reported that Porsha Williams decided not to come back and will focus on her spinoff series. She became a cast member in RHOA’s fifth season.

RHOA vet Shereé Whitfield is also speculated to return after most recently leaving after season 10.
