Flavor Flav found himself caught in some legal trouble while in Nevada!
According to recent reports, Flavor Flav (real name Jonathan Drayton Jr.) was arrested for domestic violence earlier this month. The rapper-turned-reality star was reportedly booked back on Oct. 5th in Henderson, Nevada–located about 15 miles southeast of Las Vegas.
The responding officers reported that Flavor Flav allegedly poked the woman’s face, shoved her to the ground, and swiped a cellphone from out of her hand. Resultingly, the 62-year-old Public Enemy co-founder has been charged with misdemeanor battery constituting domestic violence, according to the Henderson City Attorney.
In response to the domestic violence allegations and arrest, Flavor Flav‘s attorney–David Chesnoff–says:
“In alleged domestic violence cases, there are often 2 sides to the story. We will explain our side in the courtroom and not in the media.”
Flavor Flav has not publicly addressed the arrest or domestic violence allegations.
It’s also worth noting that, as reports of his Nevada arrest circulate, Flavor Flav is celebrating one year of alcohol sobriety. Earlier today (Tuesday, Oct. 19th), Flavor Flav posted that he was one year sober, writing:
