Original Story: Very sad news. According to multiple reports, at least eight people have died and several others injured in a crowd surge at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas.
Reportedly, a compression of the crowd toward the stage occurred just after 9 p.m. Friday while Travis Scott was performing.

As a result of the massive pushing, some panicked and the situation caused injuries, some extremely severe.

The show was called off shortly after several people began suffering injuries.
Officials transported 17 people to the hospital, including 11 who were in cardiac arrest. Many people were also treated at the scene. Reportedly, 8 people have died. Approximately 50,000 people were in attendance at the festival. No additional details have been released.
