Sources say Young Dolph went into Makeda’s Butter Cookies shop around 1 p.m. when a vehicle began firing through the front window and hit the rapper. This isn’t the first time the rapper has been targeted. As previously reported, back in 2017 he suffered multiple non life-threatening gunshot wounds in Hollywood.
Unfortunately the Blue Diamonds rapper succumbed to his injuries this time.
Young Dolph was well known in the Memphis community and released his debut album, King of Memphis, in 2016. He’s released 7 studio albums in total.
The rapper has been known to be charitable in his community as well. Reportedly, he would give out turkeys in Memphis around Thanksgiving through the Memphis Athletic Ministries charity. He also donated money to his former high school Hamilton High School. The identity of the shooter has yet to be released. He leaves behind a son and daughter.
We send our deepest condolences.
