Wendy Williams Will NOT Return To Talk Show, Sherri Shepherd is the Frontrunner to Take Over as Host
Not so good news for Wendy Williams fans.
According to reports, she will “never” return to her talk show.
Meanwhile, it’s reported that fan favorite Sherri Shepherd is the frontrunner to officially take over as host.
This week, it was announced that Sherri will be the fill-in to host for the final weeks before the holiday break.
A source tells Radar Online that Wendy’s production company is looking for a replacement host. The source says that the job is
“Sherri’s to lose. She is the number one choice.”
The source continued:
“The deal will be done in the next few weeks and announced in January. Sherri is the frontrunner, and staff think it’s all but a done deal with her.”
It was previously reported that The Nick Cannon Show was possibly going to slide into Wendy’s time slot. However, Nick’s ratings are said to have been on the decline.
