The 18-year-old who was acquitted in the deadly shootings during last year’s protest in Kenosha, Wis., said he plans to sue news organizations and celebrities for spreading “lies” against him. He testified that he acted in self-defense and was found not guilty of first-degree intentional homicide along with other charges, and was declared a free man.

Now, Rittenhouse says he and his team have launched the ‘Media Accountability Project’ to fundraise and take media companies and individuals to court “for the lies they said” about him. He mentioned The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg by name but was vague about who his other targets might be. During a recent interview, Kyle Rittenhouse said,
“I don’t want to see anybody else have to deal with what I went through…We are looking at quite a few politicians, celebrities, athletes, Whoopi Goldberg is on the list. She called me a murderer after I was acquitted by a jury of my peers. She went on to still say that, and there’s others.”

“We are going to hold everybody who’s lied about me accountable, such as everybody’s who’s lied, called me a white supremacist. They’re all gonna be held accountable and we’re going to handle them in a courtroom.”
