Wendy Williams May Take Legal Action For Being Replaced By Sherri Shepherd, Insider Claims: This Is Going To Get Ugly
Wendy Williams is reportedly “angry” about being booted from her talk show.
Beloved talk show host Wendy Williams is threatening to take legal action following the cancellation of The Wendy Williams Show. According to Radar, Wendy is unhappy with the production staff replacing her with Sherri Shepherd.

A source told the outlet:
“Wendy is on sick leave and has basically been fired. This isn’t right and Wendy isn’t going to take this,”
They continued:
“She is considering legal action again her producers and is also deciding on what to do about Sherri Shepherd. Sherri was supposed to be a friend filling in for Wendy while she was sick, but instead, Sherri stabbed Wendy in the back. If anyone thinks Wendy is going to disappear without a fight they are a fool.”

Another source who claims to be friends with Wendy said:
“You can’t just fire someone after a decade because they are sick. Wendy has been reading the news where Chris Cuomo is suing CNN for $60 million and Megyn Kelly get $60 million when she was kicked out of NBC.
They added:
“Knowing Wendy, she will think she can get the same amount too. This is going to get ugly. She was hired because of her big mouth, well now that big mouth is going to bite the hand that fed her.”

The source said that Wendy plans to sue Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Berstein. Debmar-Mercury distributed The Wendy Williams Show throughout its run.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Sherri Shepherd–who’d been filling in for Wendy—would take over the slot with an eponymous show. Multiple sources also noted that The Wendy Williams Show would officially conclude in June 2022.
