Trevor Noah Reacts To Kanye Being Pulled From Grammys: I Said Counsel Kanye, Not Cancel
Trevor Noah suggests he’s not responsible for Kanye being axed from this year’s Grammy Awards.
Despite the tv personality openly shaming Kanye’s handling of his divorce from Kim Kardashian, Trevor Noah says he never asked for the rapper to be canceled. His statement follows the announcement that Kanye will no longer be a performer at the 2022 Grammy’s.
Internet users and celebrities alike have all weighed in on the events surrounding the dramatic divorce of hip-hop giant Kanye West and reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

Comedian D.L Hughley and Kanye recently exchanged some non friendly words after D.L. condemned Kanye’s behavior, and Kanye responded mocking D.L.‘s wardrobe and career.

The back and forth prompted TV mogul Steve Harvey to offer his thoughts on the matter. Insisting Kanye doesn’t want smoke with D.L. because they “come from an a– whoopin era”.

TV host Trevor Noah, who will be hosting this year’s Grammys, was the most recent celeb to openly disparage Kanye’s behavior. On his talk show, The Daily Show, the TV personality stated:
“You may not feel sorry for Kim because she’s rich and famous, but what she’s going through is terrifying to watch, and it shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave.”
Kanye responded to the remarks in a now deleted post, calling Trevor a c–n writing:
“All in together now… K–n baya my lord k–n baya K–n baya my lord K–n baya Oooo’ lord K–n baya,”
According to reports, Kanye’s account was suspended by Instagram for 24 hours following the post, for allegedly violating the platform’s policy on hate speech.
Subsequently, it was announced that Kanye had been pulled as a performer from the Grammy Music Awards. Rapper The Game publicly showed his support for Kanye, blasted the Grammys for the last minute cancellation, and suggested that Trevor may have been the cause writing:
“The Grammys have at the last minute decided to pull @kanyewest from performing on the show as if we didn’t know it was coming. Could be because @trevornoah is hosting and there was a conversation held amongst his team & the academy that led to the decision”

However, Trevor recently insisted he had nothing to do with Kanye’s removal, taking to his twitter account to write:
“I said counsel Kanye not cancel Kanye.”

A representative for the award show reportedly cited “concerns over Kanye’s online behavior” as the reason the rap artist was removed from performing.
