Celebrity Makeup Artist AJ Crimson Passes Away At 37 [CONDOLENCES]
Acclaimed celebrity makeup artist and entrepreneur AJ Crimson has passed away at 37.
Crimson’s close friends and comrades confirmed his death yesterday (Mar. 30).
The makeup maven allegedly drowned while vacationing in Aruba. A friend of his posted:
“I received notice hours ago and still trying to compose myself; but I am utterly shocked and immensely saddened by the drowning of my friend @ajcrimson.”
He continued:
“He was a really solid dude. He loved to laugh and he loved his hobby of collecting little characters toys I use to make fun of. He was a sensationally talented professional make-up artist who owned his owned company and line of make-up, specifically for black women. When I told him my daughter was interested in make-up he told me he would give her an internship. I remember how he would laugh at the silly names I would give him to name his latest lip shade or color pallet. @ajcrimson truly was a remarkable young man that beat the odds. I guess God said you came into this world. @ajcrimson and you did what needed to be done. I’ll miss him much. Truly gone too soon! #nevertofaraway.”
Crimson founded a makeup company called “AJ Cosmetics” in 2012. His first line of products debuted in 2013. A physical boutique in Los Angeles followed in 2017.
Stars such as Fergie, Hilary Duff, Adrienne Bailon, Christina Milian, Brandy, Estelle, Raven-Symoné, and more were among his client list.

Several friends, outlets, and admirers have paid tribute to the late beauty guru.
