Earlier today (June 6) during his morning commute to work, singer/ actor Ray J went on Instagram live to send flowers to the LGBTQ+ community during pride month. He also took the time to call out homophobic people as well. The “Moesha” star started off his message by saying:
“Make sure it go viral because a lot of n*ggas that’s straight, they don’t be tryin’ to shoutout the gay community, so I gotta do it ’cause I wanna make sure n*ggas know I’m showing nothing but love and I f*ck with ya’ll – we have multiple businesses together I got a lot of [gay] friends.”
He continued,
“Listen, I just wanna say that it’s gay pride month. Shoutout to all my gay n*ggas! Shoutout to everybody in the LGBT- community. I told my n*ggas that it need to be more straight n*ggas giving love to the gay n*ggas.”
Ray J then shared that he feels that more straight people need to show love to the LGBTQ+ community.
“It’s serious though, you know what I’m saying, because I got a lot of gay friends and I got a lot of real n*ggas that’s gay, and we make a lot of money together, but it ain’t just about the money. It’s just n*ggas is cool, and that, you know, whether you a gay female or a gay dude and you a straight dude, whatever it don’t matter like it need to be more straight n*ggas showing love to the community, it just need to be. It’s like what you afraid of? Or I don’t know what it is but it’s nothing but love over here.”
He continued,
“For me, I wanna sponsor the whole gay pride month and do Ray pride! Ray pride!”
He added,
“I wanna make sure we all come together in unity and live life and not give a f*ck and get money and ball out and everybody is good right?”
During his Instagram live stream, some followers supported his message to the gay community:

However, others did not.

Ray J seemed unbothered by the comments left by viewers and continued his message:
“I’m educating myself more and more everyday on new opportunities that we can do together to eat. Ain’t nobody one human or one alien, like we just all people. So, let’s get this money. I want everybody to get money.”
He added,
“This is a human thing. Alright. This is not about black, white, pink, blue, brown. We just humans, and some people like different parts of the spectrum. Some people like it that way, some people like it this way.”
“Now, let’s have fun this month and turn up. Its Ray Pride, it’s gay pride, gay pride, I made it Ray pride just to make sure ya’ll know I’m down. I’m happy I can’t read the comments ‘cause the purpose is bigger than the moment ladies and gentlemen, the purpose is bigger than the moment.”
