Kim Kardashian and Ray J’s sex tape is still a topic of discussion, 15 years after its release. 

According to reports, Kim Kardashian and her ex-beau Ray J’s sex tape made more than a million dollars during the first six weeks after it was released. Vivid Entertainment shared that back in 2007 Kim Kardashian’s sex tape made $1,424,636.63 in revenue. $1,255,578.50 came from DVD sales. The sex tape was released on March 14, 2007. The SKIMS founder filed a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment alleging they released the tape without her authorization. The case was settled a month later and a few days after the settlement, the 41-year-old received an email from the entertainment company on sale numbers.

Recently, Ray J alleged that the reality star signed off on the release of the sex tape from day one. He claimed she produced his contract.  Steve Hirsch, Vivid’s boss, discussed the deal in the past stating that it was a “difficult deal to get done” because Kim didn’t want the tape to be put out. Ray J claimed their deal was to receive $400,000 each plus 12.5% of the profits.

The father of two also alleges that momager Kris Jenner reviewed both sex tapes (one shot in Cabo and the other in Santa Barbara) and chose the one where her daughter looked the best. Apparently, Kris Jenner’s signature is not in the contract. Hirsch has also stated that Kris Jenner, 66, had no say in selling the tape. The “One Wish” singer says he has numerous receipts to back up his claim. He went on a rant after Jenner took a lie detector test seemingly proving she was not involved in the distribution of the sex tape.

As previously reported, Brandy’s brother blamed Jenner for being the mastermind behind the release of the sex tape. He wrote:

“What about my mom Kris ? You telling people false stories about me, making the black man look horrible, for your gain, you introduced me to Steve HIRSH, you masterminded everything 4 your family, and tried to ruin mine at the same time smh – you don’t think all mothers get stressed? Or you special huh? – I know it’s old and I don’t care this makes me sick – but God had my back and still does”
