Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) is making yet another controversial statement.
The DONDA artist — who previously made headlines for declaring that “slavery was a choice” and that he loves Donald Trump — is now in the spotlight once more after sporting a White Lives Matter t-shirt at his YZY SZN 9 presentation in Paris on Monday (October 3). Several models were also seen wearing the same top.

Ye’s attire decision led to the phrase “White Lives Matter” trending on Twitter. Many users commented to express their disapproval of the musician who, at one point, seemingly championed Black empowerment and was a strong advocate for his people, which was made clear in the majority of his lyrics.
One Twitter user said,
“From ‘George Bush doesn’t care about black people’ to ‘White Lives Matter’ is a hell of a timeline, and then be referred to as a ‘genius’ all throughout? Remember when he said slavery was a choice?”
