Kylie Jenner Slammed By Fashion Designer Who Claims Her Ideas Were Stolen For The Reality TV Star’s New Clothing Line

Beauty mogul Kylie Jenner is being called out by an up-and-coming designer.

Fashion creative Betsy Johnson recently accused the reality TV star of stealing her concepts to create pieces for her new clothing line Khy.

In a series of Instagram stories, Betsy Johnson claimed that she had been in contact with Kylie Jenner’s team regarding the brand and was shocked to see her ideas being used. One of the posts read:

“We emailed Kylie and all her team @products.ltd concept and langauge and a line sheet 6 MONTHS AGO…INTERESTING CONCEPT KYLIE:… INTERESTING. Thanks for the co-sign … F**k your support.”

Posting a picture of more than £50,000 ($60,558) worth of student debt, Johnson added:

“While I stare @ my student debt. Worked my a** off for this. Like so many other working class kids who bust their a** for expertise they weren’t born into to realise their ideas.”

The designer went on to slam Jenner’s collaborator Namilia, another independent label, calling it a “trash move” to partake in the alleged theft. Reportedly, Johnson has made quite a name for herself in the industry, working as a creative director, stylist, and consultant, for celebs such as Julia Fox and big-name brands such as Luis De Javier and Balenciaga. Additionally, the designer has reportedly worked with the Kylie Cosmetics founder’s former brother-in-law Kanye West on his Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga line, as well as other projects.

However, Johnson’s credentials don’t appear to have kept her safe from allegedly being ripped off by a bigger brand. Jenner debuted Khy just two days ago, which includes 12 pieces of faux leather tops, pants, coats, and base layers, ranging from $48 and $198 in price. The brand reportedly plans to continue working with other independent labels and emerging designers for future projects. Speaking on the new clothing line, Jenner reportedly stated in a recent interview:

“Creatively I have such a strong vision of what I want to look like and what I want to do and what I want to wear…There’s really no one telling me what to do.”

It does not appear she’s responded to Johnson’s claims at this time.
