UPDATE: Drake’s Security Guard Reportedly Man Who Was Shot Outside Of His Toronto Home
Update: Drake was not the victim who was shot outside of his Toronto home on Tuesday morning (May 7). Paramedics at the scene told reporters that the rapper was not the person rushed to the hospital, per multiple outlets. However, there are reports that Drake’s security guard, 48, was shot and is suffering non-life-threatening injuries. Someone with details on the incident told Toronto Sun,
“He was taken in for surgery.”
Authorities have also confirmed that it is indeed Drake’s home that was the scene of the shooting.
Original Story: A shooting at Drake’s Toronto home has left one man seriously injured Tuesday morning (May 7).
Toronto Police wrote via X (formerly Twitter) that a shooting occurred on Bayview Ave. & Lawrence Ave. E at 2:09 a.m. ET.
Police were on site shortly after and one man was rushed to the hospital “with serious injuries.” The suspect is still at large after taking off in a vehicle. His description is unknown.

Drake’s home is widely known to sit at that intersection as he has often shared it online. It’s not known if he was home at the time of the shooting. His home was taped off and there was a strong police presence as of Tuesday morning, according to several outlets.
