Drake Accused Of Getting Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ Banned At Houston Clubs By DJ
Rap star Drake is allegedly using his Houston credibility to seek revenge on Kendrick Lamar.
A DJ based in the Texas city recently claimed that she’s been reprimanded for playing the diss song “Not Like Us” at certain clubs, and suggested that Drake is the reason why.

DJ Ari made the allegation on X (formerly Twitter) yesterday (July 22nd). Responding to one user who wrote:
“Drake really got Not Like us banned in Houston”
She replied:
“yea i done already got in trouble a few times for playing it at some clubs”
Though DJ Ari opted not to expand on the matter any further, she did joke about the post going viral in a follow-up post.

At this time it doesn’t appear that Drake has confirmed, denied, or hinted at his involvement in the alleged situation. One can imagine his motive if the accusations are true, however. As you may recall, Kendrick Lamar dropped the chart-topping single at the height of his rap battle with Drake a few months back. The song, which saw Lamar criticize Drake and some of his OVO associates, broke several streaming records and spent two non-consecutive weeks atop the US Billboard Hot 100. It’s even been in talks of potentially competing for a Grammy.
This isn’t the first time in recent weeks that the For All The Dogs creator has been accused of taking action against Lamar and his associates. As we recently covered, longtime Lamar collaborator and his former Black Hippy group member Schoolboy Q claimed that Drake recently enlisted Canadian officials to prevent him from performing in Toronto.

Drake ultimately decided to stay silent on that matter as well. It doesn’t appear that Lamar has reacted to the situation publicly either at this time.
