Supermodel Adut Akech Is Pregnant w/ Her First Child!

Congratulations are in order for South Sudanese-Australian supermodel Adut Akech!

The 24-year-old fashionista shared today (July 31) with her nearly two million Instagram followers that she’s pregnant with her first child! In one of the images posted, Adut Akech looks stunning as she smizes at the camera while wearing an open blazer that shows off her growing baby bump. The second picture posted also displays Adut Akech’s stomach as the soon-to-be mother rocks an all-denim look. She captioned the post,

“Beyond blessed and CANNOT wait to meet our bundle of joy!!!”

Akech’s partner Samuel Elkhier also shared news about the pregnancy online.

In a newly published piece with Vogue, Akech revealed how she learned she was pregnant and said,

“I was picking up my car from the service center—with my bag of oranges!—and when driving back home, I started feeling like I was going to throw up.”

Akech, who had dreams that her sister had a baby on the way, said she took five pregnancy tests and they all confirmed that she was actually the one with a bun in the oven.

Speaking on her new chapter in life, the socialite expressed,

“I always said I wanted to be a young mom because I love the idea of growing up with your kids.”

She continued,

“I’m excited. I can’t wait. I’m like—can they just come already? I’m kind of over it and I’m just halfway.”

Akech added that her pregnancy has been a “beautiful feeling, but a mental and physical rollercoaster. Nothing really ever prepares you for it.”

According to Akech’s recent interview, in total, she wants 4 or 5 kids and has about 10 weeks of pregnancy left with baby no. 1.
