Kim Kardashian Demands The Release Of Menendez Brothers Who Were Convicted Of Killing Their Parents
Kim Kardashian has written an essay demanding the Menendez brothers be released after they were convicted of killing their parents in 1996.
“We are all products of our experiences. They shape who we were, who we are, and who we will be. Physiologically and psychologically, time changes us, and I doubt anyone would claim to be the same person they were at 18. I know I’m not,” she wrote.
The brothers will get a court hearing in November after the Los Angeles District Attorney received new evidence that Jose Menendez allegedly molested his two sons.
Joseph Lyle Menendez (born January 10, 1968) and Erik Galen Menendez (born November 27, 1970), collectively referred to as the Menendez brothers, are brothers who were convicted in 1996 of the murders of their parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez.
During their trial, the brothers first stated that they committed the murders out of fear that their father would kill them after they threatened to expose him for years of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse, while the prosecution argued that they did it to inherit their father’s multimillion-dollar estate. They were first tried separately with one jury for each brother. However, both juries deadlocked, resulting in mistrials. In a second trial, they were tried together and found guilty. Both brothers were sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
Do you think Kim Kardashian’s involvement will help the brothers with their case? Let us know in the comments.
