Waka Flocka Speaks On Hurdles Nicki Minaj Faced When First Breaking Into The Music Industry: ‘Nobody In Cash Money F*cked w/ Her’
Waka Flocka Flame is looking back on Nicki Minaj’s rise in the industry and how his mom, music manager Deb Antney, played a key role when others weren’t supporting her.
In a recent interview on The Gauds Show, Waka shared, “When she [Deb Antney] saw a woman like Nicki getting beaten and bruised, she took to her like a daughter. When she got Nicki, she said,
“You’re going to be like Superwoman.”

He went on to praise Nicki, saying,
“She’s just unapologetically Nicki Minaj. She’s her.”
Reflecting on her journey, he also noted that despite the adversity Nicki faced early on, she soared past her critics and is now having the last laugh.
