Taraji P. Henson Contemplating Moving To Italy Amid Political Drama In The U.S.; Says Family The Only Thing Stopping Her
Taraji P. Henson might be ready to leave the United States behind amid mounting political issues.
“I’ve been thinking about that for a long time,” she revealed to PEOPLE. “I was thinking about it the first time I went to Italy. I was like, ‘Oh, I could live here.”
Henson previously expressed her dream of becoming an expat back in 2022 when she discussed coping with the frustrating political and social climate in America at that time. “That’s something that comes with 50,” she said then, “you get tired of fighting. I’m tired.”
The thing stopping Taraji P. Henson from packing up and leaving is her family, which includes a grown son.
“The thing is, is that I still have family here, so I’m kind of torn. I’m torn. But I do want a space somewhere outside of the country. I absolutely do. That’s always been a dream of mine. But who knows, you’ve got to see. Because you want to feel safe, you’re going to.”
