Belgium’s New Law Grants S*x Workers Health Insurance, Maternity Leave & Pensions
Belgium is making history with a groundbreaking move for s*x workers.
Starting soon, s*x workers in the country will gain access to formal employment contracts and labor rights, including health insurance, paid leave, maternity benefits, unemployment support, and pensions.
The new law also establishes key rights, such as the ability to refuse clients and stop an act at any moment. Additionally, employers who hire s*x workers must obtain state authorization, adhere to strict safety protocols, and provide essential resources like clean linens, condoms, and hygiene products.

This move comes after Belgium decriminalized s*x work in 2022; however, unregulated third-party hiring or violations of the law are said to be prosecuted.
