Jim Carrey Says He’s Open To Reprise His Role As The Grinch Under One Condition
Would you like to see Jim Carrey take another visit to Whoville?
During a recent interview with ComicBook, Jim Carrey shared he would want to play the Grinch again, but with one major change.
“Oh, gosh, you know, if we could figure out the Grinch, the thing about it is, on the day, I do that with a ton of makeup and can hardly breathe. It was an extremely excruciating process.”
Speaking on how he pushed through while filming 2000’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” he continued,
“The children were in my mind all the time. ‘It’s for the kids. It’s for the kids. It’s for the kids.’”
Jim previously touched on the challenges of playing the Grinch and said,
”About two weeks in, I was having a lot of trouble with the Grinch suit, so they brought a guy in who actually teaches people how to handle torture, and he gave me a couple of tips. You just forget [the pain]. Sitting around in that suit was not too fun, but performing in it was amazing. I can be as uncomfortable as I want, but when somebody says action, it’s like going into another reality.”

Thankfully, the film industry has come a long way since then, Jim added during his latest interview
“And now, with motion capture and things like that, I could be free to do other things. Anything is possible in this world.”
