Bishop T.D. Jakes Returns To The Pulpit Following Health Scare

Bishop T.D. Jakes made his return to The Potters House on New Year’s Eve, delivering his first sermon since a health scare in November.

The service opened with a video signaling Jakes’ return, with the congregation erupting in applause as he strolled on stage.

He said,

“I cannot tell you how glad I am to be in the house of the Lord tonight; I missed you.”

In November, Jakes experienced a health scare during a service, which the church described as a “slight health incident.” He clarified via a livestream that he had suffered a life-threatening calamity, which led to emergency surgery.
