Kai Cenat’s Video Of Drake DM’ing Him Resurfaces Amid Drake’s Defamation Lawsuit Against UMG

Kai Cenat is making headlines again as a resurfaced video ties him further to Drake’s ongoing legal battle with Universal Music Group (UMG).
In the May 3, 2024 clip, Kai Cenat was live-streaming his reaction to Drake’s “Family Matters” diss against Kendrick Lamar when Drake appeared to DM him, “stay on stream,” seemingly encouraging him to continue.
Interestingly, the following day (May 4), Kai Cenat also streamed his reaction to Kendrick Lamar’s response, “Not Like Us,” which went viral and topped the Billboard Hot 100.
Fast forward to today, Drake has filed a defamation lawsuit against UMG, accusing the label of manipulating the success of “Not Like Us” by encouraging influencers like Kai to react to the song and using a “whitelisting” strategy to help the track’s damaging claims gain traction online.
UMG denies the claims, calling Drake’s accusations “untrue” and “illogical.”
