La La Anthony Reveals The Traits She Wants In A Man & Shares Her Ideal Date: ‘Fun & Spontaneous’

La La Anthony is opening up about what she looks for in a man and how suitors can impress her on a date.

The 40-year-old actress and TV personality recently spoke with In Touch about her dating journey. La La, who split from ex-husband Carmelo Anthony in 2021 after a decade of marriage, described the dating world as “interesting” and shared:

“[I’m staying] open to whatever is meant to be and believing that whatever God wants will come. I’m living life and having fun and trying to make amazing memories.”

When asked about her ideal partner and date, the “Power” star revealed that a great night out for her would likely include a good dinner, drinks, and a fun activity. She added:

“That’s all right in my wheelhouse…I love spontaneity, and I love to laugh…I joke around all day long, so if you can be spontaneous and make me laugh, those are two great qualities.”

Since her split from Carmelo, with whom she shares 17-year-old son Kiyan, La La has mostly kept her romantic life private. However, she did share what makes the perfect date, saying:

“A good meal somewhere with drinks is always fun. Maybe a nice walk after, or sitting at the park. Or watching something fun on TV, like a fun movie or TV series.”

La La also reflected on navigating love in the public eye but said the difficulties of romance are shared amongst various people worldwide. She stated:

“If you talk to women across the world, they’ll say it’s hard to find options. And you don’t just want any options—you want the right ones.”

Still, she remains hopeful that Mr. Right will come along. Her advice for women looking for love?

“Don’t settle. And whatever is important to you, don’t sway from that. There’s somebody in this big world who’s going to match everything you’re looking for.”
