KTLA Apologizes After N-Word Tweet Sparks Outrage, Blames ‘Technical Error’
KTLA issued an apology Friday after tweeting the N-word from its official X account, blaming a “technical error.”
The offensive post was quickly screenshotted and circulated before being deleted. KTLA explained, “While adding language filters… an offensive word [was] accidentally shared.” But users weren’t buying it. One wrote, “That’s your excuse? Someone typed the word and hit send.”
Another said, “KKKTLA just took their white hood off.” A user added, “If KTLA doesn’t have a person of color running its social media… today would be a good day to declare it will hire one ASAP.”
